Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency reported it really is alarmed in regards to the higher range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office focused on service the area daily. The services point developed for intervention activities a high influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it tough for the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to empower the servicing of all customers and improve entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
